Superman team-up film in 2015 , and word that a Flash solo movie is also in the works as part of the build-up to a Justice League superhero team up film, its time to take a serious look at the numbers that strongly suggest Warner Bros. needs to release a solo Wonder Woman movie instead of trying to spin her off from Justice League as if shes not popular enough to support her own series. Ignore the recent wrongheaded Wired article insisting we dont need no stinking Wonder Woman movie, the truth is we DO need a Wonder Woman movie, and soon. Wonder Woman is among the most recognizable superheroes of all time, and easily the most well-known and popular female superhero in history. When during the 1950s most other superhero comics were taking a nosedive and getting cancelled, Wonder Woman was among the very few also including Superman and Batman who managed to survive and stay in publication. She was popular enough to be among the small number of superheroes to get their own television series, and her show lasted several years while enjoying strong ratings including in the first season, which was set during World War II, by the way. (Yesterday was Wonder Woman star Lynda Carters birthday, by the way, so belated Happy Birthday to her!) Wonder Womans monthly comic tends to sell between $100,000 to $120,000 worth, or more than $1 million a year (out of all comics sold per month, Wonder Woman tends to range anywhere from the top 30 to top 50 titles, depending on how many special releases come out in a given month, from among many hundreds of comics each month). <br>Read more: http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhughes/2013/07/25/wonder-woman-movie-will-deliver-big-box-office-for-warner-bros/
